Marathwada reports 58 new Covid-19 cases, 4 deaths

Aurangabad, Oct 21 (UNI) Marathwada region of Maharashtra reported 58 new cases of Covid-19 and 4 deaths were reported during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed on Thursday.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI showed that out of the eight districts of the region, Beed reported 7 new cases and two deaths followed by Osmanabad which had 27 cases and single death, Aurangabad had 11 cases and single death, Latur had 11 cases and Jalna district had 2 cases.
While in Nanded,Parbhani and Hingoli districts did not recorded any Covid positive patients ,they added.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 1,825 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 65,96,645.
The state also registered 21 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,39,886.
Meanwhile, 2,879 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 64,27,426 the recovery rate currently stands at 97.43 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.
At present, there are 25,728 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said.
