Marathwada regions reports more than 1,000 cases of COVID-19

Aurangabad, Aug 10 (UNI) At least 1,121 fresh COVID-19 cases of corona virus have been reported across the eight districts of Marathwada region in last 24 hours, sources said on Monday.
Authorities also reported 27 fatalities in the eight districts till late Sunday night.
With this, the total number of fatalities has now reached 1,074 in these districts, while COVID-19 tally in the region has mounted to 32,549, while 20295 have been discharged after recovering from the disease.
Rest of the active cases are undergoing treatment at different hospitals and COVID care centres in the region.
The official data collected from all the district headquarters by UNI stated that Aurangabad district recorded the highest, 263 positive cases and 14 fatalities, followed by Nanded with 141 cases and four deaths, Jalna with 43 cases and five deaths, Latur with 253 cases, Osmanabad with 206 cases, Beed with 137 cases, Parbhani with 53 cases and two deaths and Hingoli district with 25 cases.
