Maradu fiasco: NRIs likely to desist from taken-for-granted investment

Kozhikode, Sep 16 (UNI) The recent Supreme Court diktat on demolition of the five flat complexes in Maradu in Kochi for violation of coastal zone regulations has evoked mixed response among the NRIs working in the Middle East and United States of America.
Developments on the controversy has been a nightmare for many who an NRI who had made their investments in various projects, including the ones which are hanging under the Damocles sword of the SC verdict. And they curse themselves for having gone for a taken-for-granted decision to invest in these apartments without judicious consultations. The attractive features of these apartments that prompted them to own one in these complexes had boomeranged with the uncertainty over its existence hanging in balance.
