Maoist carrying reward of Rs 1 lakh nabbed by Gumla Police

Gumla, Sep 20 (UNI) A hardcore ultra belonging to the CPI Maoists who was carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head was arrested from Marwa forest under Kurumgarh Police Station area of this district.
Briefing the press on Monday Gumla SP Ehtesham Waquarib said that the arrested has been identified as Rakesh Oraon alias Manki Oraon. Against the arrested ultras nearly half a dozen cases are registered in Kurumgarh, Chainpur and Gumla Police Stations.
He said that on Sunday a tip-off had been received that an ultra who was carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head was hiding in Marwa forest after which a police team conducted search operations inside the forest and nabbed the ultra. From the arrested, a country-made pistol and cartridge were also recovered.
