Many former zilla parishad chairpersons, panchayat samiti members join BJP

Mumbai, Oct 7 (UNI) In Parbhani district, seven former Zilla Parishad (district council) members, six panchayat samiti members, a former municipal member, and several sarpanchs joined the BJP along with their supporters today.
Among those who joined were Nana Saheb Raut, district president of the Mahatma Phule Samata Parishad and former zilla parishad chairperson, formerly of the NCP (Sharad Pawar group), Sanjay Sadegaonkar, former ZP chairperson and district head of the UBT Shiv Sena, Pawanrao Nikam, district vice president of Congress, and Sabiya Begum Kapil Farooqui, former municipal president of Selu.
BJP state president Ravindra Chavan welcomed them into the party at the party headquarters.
