Manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi pay tribute to Rajiv Gandhi on his 75th birth anniv

New Delhi, Aug 20 (UNI) Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday paid floral tributes to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 75th birth anniversary at Vir Bhumi here.

Rajiv Gandhi’s son Rahul Gandhi, and daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also paid tributes to their father and the former Prime Minister.

Congress in a Twitter missive also said that India's strength lies in 'its unity and diversity'.

'As we remember Shri Rajiv Gandhi on his 75th birth anniversary, we must also remember that his words are now more relevant than ever. We must never allow communal madness to break the bond of unity among us all,' the party tweeted.
