New Delhi, Sep 1 (UNI) Manipur governor La Ganesan met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, days after being appointed to the post, the Prime Minister's Office said in a tweet.
Ganesan, a senior BJP leader from Tamil Nadu, was appointed the Governor of Manipur on August 22 by President Ram Nath Kovind, after former governor Najma Heptulla had to leave office due to bad health.
Heptulla demitted office on August 10 and on the same day the charge was given to the Sikkim Governor Ganga Prasad till the full time appointment of Ganesan was approved.
