Manipur CM's cousin kidnapped and rescued by Kolkata Police

Kolkata, Dec 14 (UNI) Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh's cousin Tongbran Lukhoi Singh, who was kidnapped along with his security guard on Friday morning from his New Town flat, was today rescued in nearly 22 hours after he was kept in captivity at Park Circus apartment in the central part of the city.
Police arrested five accused while rescuing Tongbran Lukhoi Singh (43), and his assistant on Friday, police said.
Five men posing as the CBI officials with wielding toy guns barged into a multi-storeyed building in New Town area on Friday at around 10 am and started searching Singh's flat without showing any documents. Then they demanded Rs 10 lakh from Tongbran Lukhoi Singh in front of his kins. When he failed to give the money they forced him to follow along with his private security man Moirangthem Santa Singh to an unknown destination. They also took away all the mobile phones from the relatives.
