Manipur CM calls for dialogue, peace during visit to Ukhrul villages

Ukhrul (Manipur), Apr 17 (UNI) Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh today underscored the urgent need for dialogue to restore peace, during a visit to several villages in Ukhrul district aimed at bridging the trust deficit between different communities.
Stating that “there is no other option left other than dialogue for the restoration of peace,” the Chief Minister emphasized that while every community may have both positive and negative elements, common citizens—especially children—aspire for a peaceful life.
During an emotional interaction at Thawai Kuki Village, where a woman broke down in tears, Khemchand Singh expressed deep empathy, saying he shared the pain and anguish of those affected. He warned that continued violence would have severe consequences for future generations.
