Manipur: Cabinet decides to present budget, GST bill in ensuing session

Imphal, Feb 24 (UNI) Manipur Cabinet presided over by Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Saturday decided to place the Budget 2024-Revised Estimates 2023-24 and Budget Estimates 2024-25 (Vote on Account) in the House, scheduled to begin from February 28.
I&PR Minister Dr S. Ranajn Singh said the Cabinet also decided to lay “The Manipur Goods and Services Tax (Six Amendment Bill), 2024” the Manipur Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Fifth Amendment Bill), 2024. Reports of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India in the house.
Singh said in addition to it Cabinet also approved the implementation of the recommendation of the second National Judicial Pay Commission for payment of allowances to the Manipur judicial service w.e.f. 01.01.2016, in compliance with the Supreme Court’s order and to place the Manipur Labour Laws (Exemption from Renewal of Registration and Licence by establishment) Manipur, Bill 2024 in the Manipur Legislative Assembly for enactment as an Act.

Itanagar, April 15 (UNI) The Election Commission has served show cause notices to a number of contesting candidates in Arunachal Pradesh, including the sitting MP and BJP nominee from Arunachal East Parliamentary Constituency, Tapir Gao, for alleged violations of the election Model Code of Conduct (MCC), an official at the Office of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) said on Monday.

Itanagar, Apr 15 (UNI) Election authorities in Arunachal Pradesh on Monday airlifted the first batch of polling teams with the polling materials including Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs) for four remotely located polling booths in Pip-Sorang circle under Tali Assembly Constituency in Kra Daadi district bordering China.
