Mangalore: Hyderabad flight cancelled as airport authorities receive bomb threat call

Mangalore, Jan 20 (UNI) An Indigo flight that was scheduled to take off for Hyderabad from Mangalore International Airport on Monday evening at 1600 hrs was cancelled after the airport authorities received a threat call adding that a bomb was planted inside the flight.
Earlier in the day an active bomb was found in a steel box inside an unattended bag allegedly left by a passenger at the ticket counter of the airport.
The bomb defusing unit are currently working to defuse the explosive, which has been shifted to an open ground in Kenjar.
The air traffic initially did not take a hit and was running as per the schedule before the threat call, adding that a bomb was planted in the Hyderabad bound flight was received.
