Man shot dead over possession of land in UP's Bahraich

Bahraich, Oct 24 (UNI) A man was shot dead over the possession of land in a populated area of the Gorwa Nevada village in the Ramgaon area here on Saturday.
Police sources here said that Tirth Ram and Siddhu, residents of the Gorwa Nevada village in the Ramgaon area, were engaged in a dispute over the possession of a land in a populated area for the past three years. The matter is also under consideration in the Civil court, Bahraich.
Tirth Ram was working at his farm on Saturday when Rakesh, Ramesh, Siddhu, Manish, from the other group, "fired" at him with a country-made pistol which left him critically injured. He was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to the bullet injury.
