Man injured in Pak shelling in Tanghdar sector succumbs, toll two

Srinagar, Aug 13 (UNI) A man, who was critically wounded in Pak shelling in Tanghdar sector in the frontier district of Kupwara on August 6, succumbed in the hospital here early Thursday morning, official sources said.
They said with this the death toll in ceasefire violation by Pak at the Line of Control (LoC) on August 6 has risen to two.
Sources said Mohammad Yakub Mir (50) was admitted to S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar, in a critical condition after he received splinter injuries in his forehead after a Pak shell exploded in the civilian area at LoC in Tanghdar sector on August 6. Mir succumbed in the hospital this morning. One person identified Mohammad Arif was killed on the same day while six others were injured. Three of them were referred to SKIMS.
