Man booked for fraud

Kolhapur, Feb 27 (UNI) A man from Kolhapur city booked for allegedly seeking cash and articles from a businessman, under 'social obligation', police said on Thursday.
Laxmipuri police said, the alleged accused, Akaram Vasant Pandharbale (45), resident of Vasgade in Karveer Tehsil of this district contacted a businessman and told him that he was a journalist and organized a programme on behalf of City Sub-Editor sanghatana under the social obligation to distribute dress to needy students aged between one and five in Karunalay Vidhyalay (MIDC-Shiroli) and sought cash or some articles.
Police said, he used to work in a daily.
Listening his conversation, the businessman got doubt and recorded his conversation. The alleged accused was booked on a complaint by the biz man.
No arrest was made so far, police added.
