Kolkata, Sep 26 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday paid homage to great reformer and scholar Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar on his birth anniversary.
Taking to X, Banerjee said, " Today, on his birthday anniversary, we honour the life and legacy of the great reformer and scholar, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar. "
His commitment to social progress and his enduring contributions to our culture is a testament to the power of knowledge and compassion, she said.

"As we pay homage to this visionary, let us reaffirm our dedication to the values he upheld - equality, education, and empowerment for all," she stated.
