Mamata Banerjee demoralised after 5th phase poll: Amit Shah

Mamata Banerjee demoralised after 5th phase poll: Amit Shah

Burdhaman, Apr 18 (UNI) Union Home minister Amit Shah on Sunday claimed that Mamata Banerjee was "demoralised" after the fifth phase election, saying the BJP was ahead in 122 seats out of 180, for which polling was held in West Bengal.
The state has altogether 294 seats. The elections for the remaining seats to be held in the next three phases on April 22, April 26 and April 29.
The results will be out on May 2.
"Mamata Banerjee demoralised after five phases of Bengal polls as BJP already ahead in more than 122 seats," Mr Shah told a BJP rally while campaigning for party candidates at Purbasthali Uttar in East Bardhaman.
Slamming the TMC supremo and chief minister Mamata Banerjee for her alleged appeasement policy, Mr Shah said that " Didi stoops so low that she even had planned to take out rallies with the dead bodies of Sitalkuchi (Cooch Behar)".
The demoralising of the TMC leader started when BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari made sure of his winning the Nandigram election in phase II on April 1. " BJP's Suvendu Adhikari is winning against Mamata in Nandigram' Mr Shah said as the audience chorus Jay Shree Ram.
Mr Shah also asked " Has Bengal seen development in the last 10 years?" and appeal to the people to vote for BJP to power and see what changes we will bring about in the state, which is ruled by the Commuinist over three decades and 10 years by TMC.
"It is clear that BJP with 122 seats is way ahead of Mamata didi. We want to change the model of ‘Bomb, Bandook or Barood’ with ‘Vishwas, Vikaas or Vyapaar," the Union Home Minister said.
He said whatever the development attempts were made by the centre in the past 10 years, but the TMC government always stood like a wall and deprived the people of the state have benefited from various welfare schemes, which are available elsewhere in the country.
Mr Shah said the BJP would win over 200 seats at the end of the eight phases poll and assured the people that the chief minister will be picked from this son of the soil.
The union minister also reiterated to stop infiltration from across the border and eliminate corruption and cut money practice in the next five years to build a " Sonar Bangla".
The 'Vikas and vyapar' model only BJP can bring to Bengal after the exit of Didi on May 2.
"Didi will surely lose on May 2," Mr Shah said and wished her leg healed by that time so that she can walk to Raj Bhawan to submit her resignation letter.
