The protestors who wanted to march towards the India Gate peacefully were stopped at the BSZ Marg as the police had put barricades and later stationed their water cannons behind the same.
The police used water cannons to stop the protestors who tried crossing the barricading and later on they sat next to the barricades and lit up their candles on the same.
Meanwhile taking to micro blogging site twitter, Maliwal said that when the government gets scared of such a movement it brings the police in front and has stopped the candle march that the women and people were conducting to demand justice for the Unnao rape survivor who passed away.
