New Delhi, Jul 20 (UNI) Senior BJP leader Vijay Malhotra on Saturday condoled the death of former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and said she was not in favour of contesting the just concluded Lok Sabha polls.
Recalling his long association with the Congress veteran, senior BJP leader Vijay Malhotra said, "I always enjoyed a good personal rapport with Late Sheila ji. Her death is a personal loss to me, loss to Delhi and the entire country".
"She was younger to me, and she would always acknowledge that. We spoke about ten days back and I told her contesting recent Lok Sabha elections at this age was uncalled. She smiled and had said, --- aap toh Bhai ho; (you are a brother) - I understand what you are saying, but my party took a decision and I had to respect that," Mr Malhotra told UNI.
