Malaysia Masters: Sindhu, Saina proceed to round 2, Praneeth, Srikanth exit

Kuala Lumpur, Jan 8 (UNI) Indian women star shuttlers PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal had an easy first round win against their opponents to enter the round two of the Malaysia Masters Badminton while B Sai Praneeth and Kidambi Srikanth crashed out in the men's singles here on Wednesday.
In the first round World champion Sindhu defeated Evgeniya Kosetskaya of Russia 21-15 21-13 finishing the game in 45 minutes while in another singles match unseeded and Olympic bronze medallist Saina who was facing Lianne Tan of Belgium first time edged out 21-15 21-17 wrapping up the game within a span of 36 minutes.
Sindhu and Saina have not been at their best recently after going down early in the tournaments with former failing to defend the World Tour Finals crown last month.
