Make Solid Waste Management-people's movement, Div Com tells officers

Srinagar, Jul 15 (UNI) Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan on Monday directed the concerned officers and Deputy Commissioners to make Solid Waste Management (SWM) a people's movement by taking the issues, concerns and management of solid waste to citizens, at the grass-root level.

The Divisional Commissioner gave these directions, while reviewing the implementation of SWM, under the rules issued by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate change.

Dehradun, Apr 19 (UNI) Uttarakhand has witnessed an average voter turnout of 24.83 per cent for five Lok Sabha seats till 11am on Friday,
Excluding the Nainital constituency, voting percentages in the other four constituencies have surpassed those of the 2019 elections within the same timeframe, which recorded 23.59 per cent turnout by Friday midday.
