Srinagar, Sep 25 (UNI) Demanding that Shopian encounter should be made an effective deterrent against Human Rights (HR) violations in Jammu and Kashmir, Apni Party (AP) on Thursday lauded the police investigation which has confirmed that DNA samples of three labourers killed by Army matched with their parents.
AP president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Friday said the police’s forensic investigations confirming the identity of three slain labourers from Rajouri district who were killed in Amshipora-Shopian encounter by Army warrants the certainty of punishment under law that can act as an effective deterrent against such HR violations.
Reacting to the police confirmation that results of DNA samples of three youths killed in the encounter on July 18 has matched with their parents , Bukhari appreciated the role of police in conducting a fair investigation in the matter, so far.
