Make roads in Aurangabad, Paithan pothole free: Minister

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Jan 17 (UNI) Maharashtra Minister of Employment Guarantee Scheme and Horticulture Sandeepan Bhumre on Friday directed the concerned officials to make the roads in the city and Paithan free of potholes.

Speaking at a meeting held to review works of the PWD here, he also gave a direction to complete all unfinished development works, roads, and bridges of the Apegaon Development Authority in a timely manner.

He further directed the officials to complete all incomplete developmental works in Paithan taluka before Nath Sheshti and instructed officials to recover fine from the contractors who do not complete the work in time.

The minister also instructed contractors to do quality work and asked them to take proper precautions while doing these works so that citizens would not get harmed in any way.

Mr Bhumre appealed the farmers to cooperate with the authorities in completing the two phases of Brahmagavan Lift Irrigation Scheme.

Upon completion of this scheme, the problem of drinking water in 55 villages would be solved, he said and added that government was doing its utmost to promote overall development of the farmers.
