Major thrust on block chain technology for multiple uses: Expert

Kakinada, Oct 15 (UNI) Chief executive officer of Rossum Computing center Hyderabad Narendra Allam on Monday said that Block chain technology was gaining importance in view of its multiple uses in variety of industries including financial services and e-commerce.

Participating as the resource person for the faculty development programme on `Block chain’ technology organised by the JNTUK faculty development Directorate at the university campus here on Tuesday, he asked the faculty to upgrade themselves in Block chain technology , Quantum computers, 3D printing, ToT, Machine learning, Cyber security and Robotics which will fulfill the needs of the outcome based education.

He has highlighted the advantages of Block chain and said the technology was not limited to bitcoin alone but extending to various fields.

Director Prof GVSR Deekshitulu has coordinated the programme. Resource persons from NIT Warangal, Directors and faculty from JNTUK and affiliated colleges, besides research scholars and engineering students attended.
