Mumbai, Sep 8 (UNI)Auto major Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd has signed an MoU with app-based cab aggregator Ola to train 40,000 drivers and provide cars at cheaper prices and attractive financing cost. Through the partnership, Mahindra, a USD17.8 billion group with major interest in auto manufacturing along with NBFC business, would help empower about 40,000 Ola drivers across the country in the next two years. This will also help the auto-maker push its vehicle sales. Mahindra aims to clock about USD400 million (Rs 2500 Crores) sales through this Partnership. The tie-up will help Ola expand its fleet faster to take on global rival Uber that is aggressively focusing on the Indian car on demand market after it exited the China market. Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra Group said that, "Future of mobility will be dramatically influenced by the share economy, which will move faster in India compared to the rest of the world."
