Maharashtra: Rani Durgavati Scheme push at women's SHG meet

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Aug 12 (UNI) District Collector Dilip Swami called upon tribal women to harness government empowerment initiatives during a gathering of self-help groups (SHGs) held via video-conference.
The event showcased the Tribal Development Department's Rani Durgavati Women's Empowerment Scheme, whose main launch ceremony took place in Nagpur.
Swami emphasized women's inherent strengths during his address. "Women have excelled across fields through their capabilities, competently sharing responsibilities with men. They should utilize government schemes for personal and familial progress," he said.

Mumbai, June 13 (UNI) The Maharashtra Government has taken a significant decision to encourage the production of quality documentaries, short films and children's films in the state. Cultural Affairs Minister Adv Ashish Shelar announced a substantial increase in financial assistance for the production of documentary and short films and also declared that the State Government will produce a children's film every year to ensure the availability of quality cinema for young audiences.
