Maharashtra logs 1,975 new Covid cases

Mumbai, Aug 13 (UNI) Maharashtra reported 1,975 fresh Covid-19 cases, according to a health bulletin released on Saturday.
The state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 80,68,218, while the overall toll stood at 1,48,167 with five new deaths reported.
The bulletin said 1,904 patients were cured of the virus and discharged, taking the recovery count to 79,08,195.
The state's recovery rate significantly stands at 98.02 per cent and fatality rate at 1.83 per cent .
Presently, there are 11,856 active Covid-19 patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals in the state, the bulletin added.
In Marathwada region there are 57 positive cases, including 14 in Aurangabad district, Latur (11), Osmanabad (11), Beed (9), Jalna (5), Nanded (3) and 2 cases each in Parbhani and Hingoli districts, the bulletin said.
