Apex court registry officials said S Indrabahadur Singh's petition may come up for hearing within 1-2 weeks.

The Maharashtra resident has raised many questions which includes the meaning of the phrase "largest party/group" in the present instant case.

Singh stated that during the pendency of the case, the Supreme Court should pass directions restraining the Governor, from inviting Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress (these are the three respondents in the case) to form the Government in the State of Maharashtra against the mandate of the people.

It also sought order or orders as this Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case.
