Maharashtra BJP MLA Rajendra S Patni passes away

Mumbai, Feb 23 (UNI) Maharashtra Bhartiya Janata Party MLA Rajendra Sukhanand Patni passed away at a hospital here following a prolonged illness on Friday.

Patni was 59 and is survived by his wife Babita and two children.
He was the member of legislative Council from 1997 to 2003.

Rajendra won the 2004, 2014 and 2019 Legislative Assembly elections from Karanja constituency, a BJP stronghold in the Vidarbha region.

Top BJP leaders including party National President J. P. Nadda, Maharashtra state President Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Ministers and others mourned the demise of Patni.
