SAGAR (M.P.): ‘Yash Siddhi’ (Success and Attainment) – the Mahar Regiment’s motto – was the feeling that pervaded a grand ceremony on August 23 at the Regimental Centre in this divisional headquarters where 60 soldiers took the oath of affirmation to serve the nation in the presence of the proud Tricolour.
The Passing-out Parade was reviewed by Major General Manoj Oka, Colonel of the Regiment.
In his address, the General Officer highlighted the challenging situations being confronted by the country and motivated the young warriors towards selfless service and to always be prepared to meet the challenges. Maj. Gen. Oka presented medals for Drill, Physical Training and other disciplines. Gaurav padaks were bestowed on soldiers’ parents. The event was witnessed by a large number of parents, Army personnel, civilians and students.
