Mahadayi row: K'taka Min denies violation of Tribunal interim direction as alleged by Goa CM

Belagavi, Nov 30 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Water Resources Ramesh Jarkiholi on Monday denied there was violation of Tribunal direction on Mahadayi river water sharing issue by the State as alleged by Goa Chief Minister.
The Minister, who is also Belagavi district Incharge Minister, clarified saying, " We did not touch any wall at the construction site in water project area and not violated any direction, It was wrong on the part of the Goa chief minister to allege that Karnataka has gone against Tribunal court's interim verdict".
Speaking to media persons here on Monday, he said that if the Goa government proves that we have demolished the barrier wall then he will resign. In a democratic set up everybody has a right and Goa still objecting to the Mahadayi project. Since the matter is before the Supreme Court will not speak more on the subject.
