MAHA: SSS leader Raju Shetty alleges big scam behind Shakti Peeth Highway project

Kolhapur, Dec 14 (UNI) In a scathing allegation against Maharashtra CM Fadnavis, Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana (SSS) national president and former MP Raju Shetty has said that the state Chief Minister is taking a huge advance from big construction companies during the election period on the promise of awarding tender for the Shakti Peeth Highway, and is insisting on changing one route every day ignoring the opposition from farmers farmers and the public against the project.
In a press statement, Shetty alleged that the state treasury has no money for such mega projects. To overcome that the government has taken unnecessary loan of Rs 1 lakh crore and trying to make Rs 50,000 crore rupee scam out of it by promising contracts.
Shetty said that he will not allow this conspiracy to succeed. He said that CM Fadnavis looked disoriented as there is opposition to the Shakti Peeth Highway everywhere in the state.
