Maha: Shiv Sena (UBT), BVA cadres join BJP

Mumbai, Aug 5 (UNI) Scores of workers and office-bearers from two Maharashtra Assembly constituencies deserted the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) and Bahujan Vikas Aghadi (BVA) and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party here today, dealing a blow to the opposition ahead of Maharashtra's local body elections.

The mass joining ceremony occurred at the BJP's state headquarters in Nariman Point, where defectors from Vasai and Nalasopara assembly constituencies in Palghar district formally entered the BJP fold.

Gadkari approves 100 pc Ethanol fuel use to curb fossil fuel imports
