Maha: Residents protest on streets in Mumbai against Adani

Mumbai, Jan 23 (UNI) Residents of Kurla and Mulund, both eastern suburbs of Mumbai, on Thursday staged strong protests against industrialist Gautam Adani alleging that the Dharavi Redevelopment Project (DRP) has been given to him at nominal rate.
Hundreds of protesters, led by Congress MP Varsha Gaikwad, came on streets of Kurla since morning to convey their message to the BJP-led state government about their opposition to the proposed project. They also chanted slogans against Adani.
The protesters also alleged that few acres of land belonging to the Mother Dairy in this area was taken in the name of Dharavi Redevelopment Project.
