Maha Minister Shinde strongly condemns removal of Shivaji Maharaj's statue in Belgaum, writes to K'taka CM

Thane, Aug 8 (UNI) Maharashtra and District Guardian Minister Eknath Shinde on Saturday strongly condemned the incident of alleged removal of the life-size statue of Maratha warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji from a public square at Magutti village of Belgaum on Friday night by unidentified people.
In a recorded message to the media here, Mr Shinde, who is also the Coordination Minister for disputed border areas, said that the act was an act of vengeance and with ill intention.
Proper permission had been obtained for the installation of the statue at the square, he said.

COVID-19: 351 new cases, 7 more deaths in Aurangabad

Maharashtra,Sep 25 (UNI) At least 351 corona patients were tested as positive on Friday in Aurangabad district touching the positive toll up to 32,440.
According to district administration sources, seven patients succumbed raising the death toll up to 900.
