Maha: Marathwada reports 45 new COVID cases, 3 deaths

Aurangabad, Dec 9 (UNI) The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 45 fresh COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths in the past 24 hours, health authorities said on Thursday.
The district headquarters report stated that of eight districts in the region, Parbhani district was worst affected recorded 7 cases and 2 deaths, followed by Aurangabad had 6 cases and single death, Beed had 11 cases, Jalna had 7 cases, Latur had 6 cases, Nanded and Osmanabad had 4 cases each and Hingoli nil, they added.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 896 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 66,40,888.
The state also registered 10 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,41,204.
Meanwhile,1040 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 64,89,720 the recovery rate currently stands at 97.72 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.
At present, there are 6,286 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said.

Pune, April 24(UNI) Day temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at many places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; at isolated places over Bihar; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at a few places over Gangetic West Bengal; at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura and Jharkhand; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over Assam and Meghalaya; at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Odisha. These were appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Uttarakhand, east Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and east Madhya Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 43.5°C was reported at Anantapur (Rayalaseema) over the country.
