Maha: Leopard trapped in Nashik

Nashik, Jan 19 (UNI) A leopard which had created terror among the residents of Makhmalabad area, was captured in one of the cages installed by the Forest Department at different places in the said area here today.
Two days ago, a leopard was spotted at Jagzhap Farm in the Makhmalabad area. Leopard footprints were also found in the vicinity. The increased presence of the leopard had created an atmosphere of fear among the residents. As a precautionary measure, the Forest Department had installed cages at two locations.
On Saturday, residents of the Sule Farm area spotted a leopard in the fields. The eyewitnesses were terrified as the leopard was seen at a very close distance. After some residents shouted, the leopard fled towards the Mungsara area.

Mumbai, July 16 (UNI) Coming down heavily on the Maharashtra police for registering FIRs on complaints filed by people who have no direct connection with alleged irregularities in the appointment of teachers, non-teaching staff and the issuance of Shalarth IDs, Bombay High Court has observed that police officials, despite being public servants, appeared to be acting as if they were "real lords with law under them.".

FDA cracks down on Parsi Dairy Farm, suspends licence over major hygiene violations
