Mumbai, Nov 11 (UNI) The Bombay High Court on Monday granted medical bail to Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal in connection with a money laundering case lodged by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
A single-judge bench of Justice N J Jamadar on May 6 this year granted temporary bail to Goyal on health grounds, and the same was extended further from time to time for him to undergo further medical treatment for cancer treatment.
Today on Monday, Justice Jamadar confirmed the earlier interim bail order and made the same absolute.
Goyal, 75, is suffering from cancer and had sought bail to undergo treatment. His counsel, Aabad Ponda, had earlier submitted that apart from physical ailments, Goyal was suffering from depression too.
