Maha Govt to extend all cooperation to YCMOU for conducting online examination: Samant

Nashik, Sep 20 (UNI) Maharashtra Minister of Higher and Technical Education Uday Samant on Sunday assured that the state government will extend all possible cooperation to the Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University for conducting online examination of about 2 lakh students who are in the final year.
Speaking at a review meeting held at YCMOU here, he said 1.91 lakh students will be appearing for the final-year examination, which will have multiple choice questions and students can take the exam from their mobile phone, tablet, laptop, computer as well as any device with internet connectivity available to them.
Considering the number of final-year candidates, about 2,000 students from each district of the state will appear for the exam through the Open University, he said and suggested to conduct the exam without any kind of crowd due to ongoing corona pandemic.

Pune, April 25 (UNI) Day temperatures were markedly above normal(5.1°C or more) at many places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; at isolated places over Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal and Assam and Meghalaya; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Jharkhand; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and Kerala and Mahe; at isolated places over east Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Telangana. These were below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Vidarbha and east Madhya Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 43.7°C was reported at Anantapur
(Rayalaseema) over the country.
