Maha: Govt implements 'Fruit Crop Insurance Scheme' in 30 districts

Mumbai, Oct 3 (UNI) The Restructured Climate Based 'Fruit Crop Insurance Scheme' is being implemented in 30 districts of Maharashtra for nine fruit crops namely pomegranate, orange, sweet lime, cashew, banana, grape, mango, papaya and strawberry in Ambia Bahar (January-February flowering) year 2024-25, said Agriculture Minister Dhananjay Munde on Thursday.
He has appealed farmers to take benefit of this scheme.
Participation of borrower as well as non-borrower farmers in the scheme is voluntary for notified crops in notified areas.
