Mumbai, Jan 20 (UNI) The Maharashtra government on Thursday gave a nod to reopen schools in the state from Monday, however, it has granted power to local bodies to take a final decision considering Covid-19 situation in their respective areas.
Speaking to reporters here after the cabinet meeting, state School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad said that the Cabinet had given approval to reopen schools from January 24.
But, it has allowed local bodies to take a final decision on reopening of schools depending upon Covid-19 situation in their respective areas, she said.
