Maha: Congress leads strike rate; BJP on half-century mark

Sangli, Maharashtra, Jan 17 (UNI) In Sangli-Miraj-Kupwad Municipal Corporation election, the strike rate statistics have exposed the schemes of many, and the strategy of Congress MP Vishal Patil and MLA Dr. Vishwajit Kadam has been effective, while the political moves of Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) leader MLA Jayant Patil have been unsuccessful.
The Congress has won 18 out of 32 seats, registering a strike rate of 56.25 percent. From candidate selection to campaigning, the strategy devised by Vishal Patil and Dr. Vishwajit Kadam proved to be perfect. The Congress took an unexpected leap due to the building of a strong base of local workers, direct communication with voters and planning to confuse the opposition.
Although the BJP achieved a strike rate of 50 percent by winning 39 out of 78 seats, it did not achieve the expected success. Discontent over the candidature in many places and internal factionalism have also eroded the strongholds of the BJP. Despite the party's organizational strength, there is a talk that the lack of coordination has cost it dearly.
