Maha BJP spokesperson criticises Congress for their opposition to 'Vande Mataram'

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Oct 4 (UNI) BJP spokesperson in Maharashtra, Eijaz Deshmukh on Tuesday criticised the Congress party for opposing the state government's directive to its employees that they should say 'Vande Mataram' instead of 'Hello' on telephone, saying it has shown their anti-national mentality.
Balasaheb Thorat, former minister and former state president of Congress, has opposed the state government's decision to its employees to say 'Vande Mataram' instead of 'Hello' when they start talking on phone.
Speaking in this context, Deshmukh said that "'Vande Mataram' is a symbol of national identity. Many revolutionaries like Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and others, who took part in the freedom struggle, were hanged while chanting 'Vande Mataram'. It is not possible that Mr Thorat does not know this history."
