Maha BJP gen-secy congratulates Govt for re-establishing Statutory Development Boards

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Sep 28 (UNI) State general secretary of BJP Sanjay Kenekar on Wednesday congratulated the Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis government saying it has paved the way for development by deciding to re-establish the Statutory Development Boards in Maharashtra, which were wrapped up by the previous Maha Vikas Aghadi government, led by Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray.
In a statement, he accused the MVA government of hampering the development of the state, claiming that it did not make any efforts to extend the term of the Statutory Development Boards fearing that if the powers of allocation of funds for development programmes were transferred to the Governor, it would enhance the profile of the Governor and his authority.
He further claimed that development of the state had been stalled for two years during the MVA rule due to antagonistic politics between Thackeray and the Governor.
