Maha announces assistance for 5 lakh farmers

Mumbai, Sep 29 (UNI) Maharashtra government on Thursday announced Rs 755 crore assistance to those farmers affected due to heavy rainfall in the state between June and August 2022 who were not eligible for compensation under the prescribed criteria.
The decision was taken under the state Cabinet Sub-Committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
This will benefit approximately more than 5 lakh farmers in the state.
