Maha: All eyes on Sharad Pawar's moves as EC announces Maha Rajya Sabha polls

Mumbai, Feb 18 (UNI) The Election Commission of India today announced the Rajya Sabha election schedule, to fill up 37 Rajya Sabha seats across 10 states in India, including Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Telangana and Himachal Pradesh.
The notification will be issued on 26 February. The last date for nominations will be March 5, with scrutiny of nomination papers to be done on March 6, 2026, while the last date for withdrawal of nominations is March 9.
From Maharashtra, the Rajya Sabha terms of NCP founder Sharadchandra Govindrao Pawar, BJP's Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad, Sharad Pawar-led NCP's Fauzia Tahseen Ahmed Khan, Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena's Priyanka Vikram Chaturvedi, Dhairyasheel Mohan Patil, Congress's Rajni Ashokrao Patil and Ramdas Bandu Athawale (Republican Party of India-Athawale) are set to expire in April 2026.
