Maha: 65th Maharashtra State Art Exhibition inaugurated in Sangli

Sangli, Feb 16 (UNI) State and District Guardian Minister, Chandrakant Patil, today inaugurated the 65th Maharashtra State Art Exhibition organized at Shantiniketan here.
Speaking after inauguration ceremony, he said, "Any art is an invisible part of the human body and is a kind of pre-conceived. This pre-conceived in the intellect and mind is manifested in the form of art. The state government has always played a role in encouraging this innate art. Through art exhibitions, the latent artistic qualities of students have been encouraged, talent has been given scope and creativity has been given a platform."
He further said that the state government has taken many measures and initiatives to strengthen the art sector. He mentioned various things like filling up posts that have been vacant for many years, a huge increase in the prize money, a Central University of the Arts, a separate system for degrees and diplomas in the field of art, and a separate art gallery for exhibitions in J. J. School of Arts and the Jahangir Art Gallery.
