Mah: Tribal welfare outfit Shramajivi Sanghatana demands probe in death of tribal woman, her newborn

Palghar, Oct 24 (UNI) Tribal welfare outfit Shramajivi Sanghatana on Sunday demanded an enquiry into the death of a tribal woman and her newborn as they could not be saved due to dearth of medical facilities.
The deceased was identified as Rekha Salim Potinda (35), who lived in Jawhar taluka of this district.
According to Sanghatana, “The woman developed labour pain at around 1.30 pm on Saturday and was rushed to the PHC at Sakharsheth. There doctors could not treat her and she was shifted to the Patangshah Cottage hospital at Jawhar at 4.00 pm.”
