Mah: Thane registers 610 new covid cases

Thane, Mar 9 (UNI) With the detection of 610 more coronavirus cases in last 24 hours, the tally has reached 2,70,455 in the district, an official said on Tuesday.

While four fatalities more fatalities were reported during the same time period, taking the death toll to 306.
The mortality rate stands at2.33 per cent, the official said.
So far, 2,56,869 patients have recuperated from the infection, which took the recovery rate to 94.97 per cent.
There are 7,280 active cases in the district at present, the official added.

In neighboring Palghar district, the COVID-19 case count has gone up to 46,354 while the death toll stands at 1,205.
