Mah simmers at 45.6 degrees C,heat waves very likely across eastern & southern India

Pune, May 20 (UNI) During next 2-3 days,conditions are favorable for further advancement of southwest monsoon into some more parts of south Bay of Bengal,north Andaman Sea,and Andaman Islands.Day temperatures were above normal in some parts of Arunachal Pradesh,Nagaland,Manipur,Mizoram, Tripura,Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim,Odisha,Jharkhand,Jammu and Kashmir,Gujarat Region, Konkan and Goa,Marathwada,Vidarbha,coastal Andhra Pradesh and in remaining parts of Telangana, Rayalaseema,and Kerala.
Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Assam,Meghalaya,Gangetic West Bengal,Telangana,Rayalaseema,Tamil Nadu,south interior Karnataka,Kerala and in remaining parts of madhya Maharashtra and were markedly above normal in some parts Bihar,madhya Maharashtra,and north interior Karnataka.
Day temperatures were below normal in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh,Haryana,Chandigarh and Delhi,Rajasthan,and Madhya Pradesh. Day temperatures were normal over rest of the country.The highest maximum temperature recorded over the plains was 45.6 degrees celsius in Chandrapur of Vidarbha in Maharashtra.
