Aurangabad, Nov 28 (UNI) The eight districts of Maharashtra's Marathwada region reported 443 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, health authorities said on Saturday.
The region also witnessed five fatalities due to the pandemic during the same period.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI stated that out of the eight districts in the region, Beed was the worst affected with 56 fresh cases and 2 deaths, followed by Jalna with 30 new cases and 42 deaths, Aurangabad 159 cases and one death, Latur 93 cases, Nanded 68 cases, Osmanabad 21 cases and Parbhani 16 and Hingoli nine cases.
Meanwhile, 6,185 more corona cases and 85 deaths were reported across the state, taking the tally in the state to 18.08 lakh.
Meanwhile, 4,084 patients were cured and discharged from hospitals during the same period, taking the total number of recoveries to 16.72 lakh so far.
According to the health officials, 46,898 patients have so far succumbed to the disease in the state and 87969 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
